None of the Gaddafi sons is present in the courtroom at Tripoli’s Al-Hadba prison.
Libyan prosecutors on Monday began the trial of deposed leader Muammar Gaddafi’s sons and former regime officials in Tripoli.
This is a major test for the North African state’s transition to a democracy.
Muammar Gaddafi’s sons Saadi Gaddafi or Saif al-Islam were not in the courtroom at Tripoli’s Al-Hadba prison.
Present in the courtroom at Tripoli’s Al-Hadba prison was Gaddafi’s ex-spy chief Abdullah al-Senussi.
There were other the former Gaddafi regime officials sitting behind a fenced-off section before the judge in the court.
