A military court handed two terror operatives death sentences and another one, 20 years jail sentence in Puntland, northern Somalia.
The military court found the three to have been involved with terrorist organizations, the Islamic State group (IS) and Al-Shabaab group respectively and responsible for series of killings in northern Somalia.
The military court chief of Bari region Mohamed Ibrahim convicted Adan Hassan and Abshir Mohamed Abdirahman for being linked to the IS-faction, sentenced them to death by firing squad.
The trial held in Bosaso town also saw judge sentence the third man, Mohamed Shiniyow Ali, to 20 years in jail.
Fighters from the two-armed groups; IS and Al-Qaeda aligned Al-Shabaab are fighting security forces in Puntland, a semi-autonomous state in northern Somalia.
