A landmine explosion hit a government vehicle in the capital Mogadishu and injured two government officials.
A Somali military hospital director identified as Khadija Iman Aynte and her driver were injured in a landmine explosion that targeted their Toyota HILUX vehicle. The vehicle was hit during a drive at Carwo area, Taleh of Hodan district in Mogadishu.
Federal government forces immediately arrived at the scene. No group has claimed the responsibility of the attack but Al-Shabaab regularly targets Somali government officials with such attacks.
