The Russian Air Force unleashed a flurry of airstrikes over the western region of the Idlib Governorate, Syria targeting several areas under the control of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and their allies.
The Russian fighter jets bombarded Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions in the Jaba Al-Zawiya region, which has long been under the control of the jihadist rebels. The air bombardments were in response to the recent attacks on government strongholds by the Jihadis in the past few days.
The airstrikes dealt a major blow to the jihadist as they destroyed the communication base for the militants and as such makes it difficult for the militants to coordinate attack across the governorate and other parts of Syria.
