A number of local leaders of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Khurasan (ISIS-K) were killed the latest airstrikes conducted in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.
According to Afghan military sources, four local ISIS-K leaders have been killed in the past 24 hours in Achin, Pacher Agam, and Khogyani districts.
Humiliated anti-government armed militants including ISIS sympathizers have not commented regarding the airstrikes.
Nangarhar is among the relatively calm provinces in East of Afghanistan but anti-government armed militants are active in some of its remote districts and often carry out attacks targeting the government and security personnel.
