At least two senior leaders of Taliban terrorist group were killed during the airstrikes which were conducted in northern Kunduz province of Afghanistan mid-week, the Afghan military has confirmed.
According to the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North, the airstrikes were carried out at around 10:20 am local time targeting terrorist’s hideouts and commander and control center of Qari Wali Mohammad and Najeebullah alias Haroon.
The statement released by 209th Shaheen Corps, indicate that at least 6 Taliban terrorists including the leaders of the group were killed and 3 others were wounded in the airstrikes.
The statement further added that a fighting position, the command and control center of Taliban, and another compound of Taliban were destroyed in the airstrikes.
A clash also broke out between Taliban militants and security forces at around 1:30 pm local time in Pesta and Malraghai areas of Khanabad district, leaving 4 militants dead and 6 others wounded, the military source further added.
