A New Zealand national is among 12 people arrested in the latest crackdown on terror suspects.
A brief by the Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet show that New Zealander identified as Sulub Warfaa and aged 36 was arrested at Dajabula, few kilometers to the Kenya-Somalia border.
Warfaa was arrested with the two passports bearing different names. The other passport had the name Ramadhan Yusuf.
He was arrested alongside another suspect identified as Sakawawedin Abdullahi Mohammed, 33 years. He was arrested with an Ethiopian passport.
The two were heading to Garissa from Dajabula in a white Toyota Hilux Double Cabin.
The other ten terror suspects were arrested in a counter-terror operation at the Dadaab Refugee Camp in Garissa County.
Kenya has intensified crackdown on terror suspects and their accomplices since the Dusit D2 terror attack on Jan 15. that left 21 people dead and several others injured.
