At least 23 ISIS Khurasan (ISIS-K) and Taliban terrorists have been killed in separate operations and airstrikes of the Afghan and Coalition Forces in the past 24 hours.
According to the Afghan military sources, the Afghan Special Forces conducted a clearance operation in Sangin district of Helmand province killing at least 5 Taliban fighters and defused 8 IEDs and 150 pounds of homemade explosives.
A coalition airstrike also killed 2 Taliban combatants in Nahr-e Saraj district of Helmand while another coalition airstrike killed 2 ISIS-K combatants in Khugyani district of Nangarhar.
The sources further added that, the Afghan Special Forces conducted a ground raid in Achin district of Nangarhar killing 8 ISIS-K combatants and destroying a weapons cache and a house-borne IED. Afghan Special Forces also conducted a raid in Darah-ye Pech district of Kunar killing 2 ISIS-K terror combatants.
At last 4 Taliban combatants were killed and a large munitions cache destroyed in another operation of the Afghan Special Forces conducted in Khanabad district of Kunduz province, the sources added.
