Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) killed four Al-Qaeda linked Al-Shabaab militants in an operation carried out between Lamu and Garissa towns.
The operation is be part of the ongoing Kenyan multi-agency security dubbed Operation Linda Boni aimed at flushing out Al-Shabaab militants.
According to Linda Boni Operation Director Joseph Kanyiri, the Kenyan security forces killed at least four Al-Shabaab militants in Ijara area between Lamu and Garissa counties and also recovered six AK-47 rifles in the operation.
He reaffirmed that security forces in the area are in pursuit of other terrorists believed to have escaped with gunshot injuries.
A body of Al-Shabaab was yesterday (19/11/2018) recovered by security forces in the general Ijara area.
