Somalia, 25/10/2018: Latest military report from Somalia indicate that Al-Shabaab has dealt a huge blow after seven (7) of its terror operatives got killed in own improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Gherile Fafadhun, southwestern Gedo region of Somalia.
Information received indicate that the terror operatives were planting the IED targeting government and partner forces along Gherile Fafadhun MSR, about 3kilometers to Uwanja wa Buni when the IED exploded prematurely killing the seven operators and destroying a vehicle.
The Al-Qaeda linked terror militants in Somalia have increased the use of IEDs as the weapon of choice to target the security forces and government officials, however, in number of such attacks the ordinary civilians are killed while in some cases the militants themselves are blown up in these premature IED explosions.
