The export of China’s Harbin Aviation Industries (Group) Company (HAIG) Z-19E Black armed reconnaissance, attack helicopter is ready for series production, according to Chinese media reports.
The light armed helicopter has undergone several scrutiny and performance tests and passed verification, this has been confirmed by HAIG’s parent company, the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), demonstrating that the model is capable to enter the crucial production phase.
However, did not mention of any potential customers for the helicopter, which underwent 40-day trials in April and early May 2018.
The tests involved the live firing of air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground missiles, unguided and guided rockets, as well as of the platform’s podded gun systems.
The tests also served to confirm weapons integration and the fire-control system, the company added.
Has a maximum take-off weight of 4,250 kg, the Z-19E is a light armed helicopter delivering benefits in cruising speed, climbing rate, and usable ceiling, according to its maker.
