Four (4) terrorists belonging to the Al-Qaeda affiliate in Somalia, Shabaab terrorist group were killed by Kenya Military forces in Bursar area in Gedo region of Somalia.
Army snipers took out the 4 after the terrorist group fired RPG’s at the KDF FOB in Bursar. Intelligence shows Al-Shabaab attempted to conduct an attack against the FOB on 12th of October 2018 at 0630hrs EAT.
A group of 60 terrorists armed with PKM machine guns, RPG’S, and AK47 assault rifles attempted to breach the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) forward operating Base (FOB) at Bursar in Gedo, Somalia.
Army snipers in the East of the base opened fire killing 4 terrorists. Army scouts and machine gunners at DP 1 and 2 respectively opened rapid fire and successfully immobilised the enemy formation, subsequently decommissioning the terrorists.
