Somali Terror Group Shabaab Mujahideen attempted to breach the Mararani Rural Border Patrol Unit (RPBU) Camp in Lamu County, lower north eastern Kenya, late Sunday, 30th October 2018.
The elite police unit repelled the attack forcing the militants to retreat into the dense forest. This is the 3rd attempt in September 2018 by the terror group to overrun the camp.
The attempt to attack a Kenyan police camp in the area comes 10 days after the terror group cells were ambushed by Kenya Defense Forces at Taksile. 7 Terrorists were killed in the attack. Dozens others suffered multiple gunshot injuries.
