Somali Police Forces killed senior Al-Shabaab commander and captured three others in a raid conducted in Mogadishu, Benadir region of Somalia.
According to Qasim Ahmed Roble, the spokesman of the Somali Police Forces, the operations were conducted in Heliwa and Yakhshid districts in Benadir region in a concerted effort to flush out Al-Shabaab elements and in response to the militant’s VBIED in Hodan district that left 12 Somali civilians killed and wounded 15 others.
The killed terror operative was identified as Abukar Hassan Adde alias Sayid Abukarey. He was a senior Al-Shabaab Amniyaat (Al-Shabaab intelligence wing) operative and commander in Yaqshid and Huruwa district in Benadir region.
