National Security Council meeting officially opened today in Baidoa the city of Bay region. The meeting was led by Somali federal President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, Prime Minister Ali Kheyre and regional government leaders.
One of the agendas was security, the attendees discussed plans to establish strong forces of the first integrated special army, commission and operation of the military.
Further, they agreed to build regional police forces who will be trained, funded and armed by the federal government.
Political plans will to implement a 2020 cooperation between the federal government and the regional administrations. A constitution review process was also heavily discussed by the committee.
Sharing of natural resources was also discussed under the Economics discussion, particularly to benefit the fish farming
