Intense airstrikes by the Russian and Syrian air forces have been carried out in the Idlib and Hama governorates, on Saturday, after reports emerged of militants gathering in preparation for an offensive against the Syria Arab Army (SAA).
A military report from Latakia indicated that the Syrian and Russian air force launched several airstrikes during morning hours on Saturday along the Hama-Idlib axis in an attempt to daunt Islamist rebels from launching an offensive in Hama and Idlib.
The reports indicated that commanders of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) had called on their fighters to regroup for an offensive on the Syrian Military, after the Syrian Military suffered an attack by the U.S forces.
