Enormous amounts of Syrian Military reinforcements reportedly arrived in Western countryside of the Idlib Governorate recently in preparation for the launch of an offensive in the Al-Ghaab Plain and Jisr Al-Shughour District.
According to the pro-opposition accounts and Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s official media wing, the Syrian Military had sent reinforcements to the Al-Ghaab Plain in a bid to launch an offensive in Syria.
The Russian Aerospace Forces has also been pounding the Jisr Al-Shughour countryside repeatedly, compelling jihadist rebels of Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP) to abandon several outposts.
In April, Turkey reportedly made an agreement with Russia to allow the Syrian military to launch an offensive to clear northern Latakia, Jisr Al-Shughour and the Al-Ghaab Plain.
The agreement has so far allowed the Syrian Military to build-up their forces in the area and prepare for further offensive operations.
