At least forty Taliban insurgents have been killed in the latest anti-terror raids across Afghanistan.
According to Ministry of Defense, (MoD), the Afghan NationalArmy (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan NationalPolice (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) conducted joint operations against Taliban insurgents in different areasNangarhar, Kapisa, Ghazni, Logar, Khost, Urzgan, Zabul, Farah, Badghis, Faryab, Kunduz and Helmand provinces.
In these operations40 insurgents including a Taliban local commander were killed and 35others wounded, Afghan MoD confirmed in a statement.
The operations also saw Afghan forces succeed in arresting nine suspects, who were handed over to judicial organs for further inquiry.
Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces.
ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
