Taliban’s shadow deputy governor is reportedly among the 45 terrorists killed in the last 24 hours in Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) operations.
According to the Ministry of Defense (MoD) spokesman Gen. Mohammad Radmanish, at least 13 Taliban fighters were killed in Shahwali Kot district of Kandahar while the group’s shadow deputy governor for Uruzgan was killed alongside six others in Khas Uruzgan distict.
Another six terror operatives were also killed in Nad-e-Ali district of Helamand while three mine planters were killed in an explosion in Greshk district.
The Gen. added that, another six militants were killed in Zurmat district of Paktia, four were killed in Bala Bolok district of Farah, four others were killed in Kohistan district of Faryab, and three others were killed in Shajoi district of Zabul province.
According to Gen. Radmanish, at least 37 militants were also wounded and 25 others were arrested during the same operations.
During the operations, the Afghan forces discovered and defused 9 improvised explosive devices, Gen. Radmanish added.
