The Federal Republic of Somalia and the Kingdom of Jordan have held bilateral talks that are set to benefit the former in security and policy strategies. The deals were headlined by Jordan’s Interior Minister Samir Mubaidain and his Somali counterpart Mohamed Abubakar Islow.
The talks were held on the sidelines of the Jordanian delegation’s visit to Algeria, to take part in the 35th session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers scheduled to start on Wednesday. the support from Jordan comes at a time when Somalia is facing a spike in al shabaab attacks targeting security forces as well as civilian population.
The two ministers also tackled establishing new security programs to support the African nation addressing the security challenges. Jordan pledged to provide all forms of support to ensure that the Horn of Africa country was secure and stable\.
