Twenty four (24) suspected terrorists were on Tuesday arrested and detained by the Mozambican police.
According to the police source, the twenty four suspects were reportedly on their way to a district in the northern Cabo Delgado province.
Preliminary police reports confirm that all the detainees are Mozambicans believed were destined to Mocimboa da Praia to reinforce the terror insurgents.
According to police spokesman Inacio Dina, Mocimboa da Praia harbors terror cells that have been causing panic since October of last year.
Following on intelligence tip-off, police managed to intercept an inter-provincial passenger bus they were travelling in. Investigations are underway though the detainees claim they were going to fish in Pemba, provincial capital of Cabo Delgado.
