Latest security reports from Somalia indicate that a suicide bomber blew himself up inside the main police academy in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on Thursday morning.
Corresponding reports from witnesses indicate that the bomber who his suicide vest on was wearing a Police uniform.
The attack took place during a parade in General Kahiye Academy. Four Police officers were martyred and more than 10 others were wounded.
Those injured were rushed to various hospitals for treatment. Following recent series of humiliation where the Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia where the terror group has lost over 100 fighters, the attack is a retaliation for the intensified onslaught by SNA and allied forces. Through the group’s pro-media, Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
