A senior Taliban leader who was in-charge of the group’s prisons in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan has been killed in counter-terror operations conducted by Afghan Special Forces.
According to the provincial government media office in a statement, the Taliban leader identified as Nabi who was also famous as Ghorzang was killed during an CT-operation conducted in Hesarak district.
The statement further added that Nabi was among at least fourteen terror operatives killed during the operation which was conducted on Wednesday night.
According to the provincial government, the Taliban shadow district chief for Hesarak Abdul Hasan who was also known as Hajiz, was also killed during the operation along with the shadow education director of the group who was identified as Yar Mohammad.
A compound of the terrorist group which was used as a customs house by the terrorists was also destroyed during the operation, the statement added.
The local officials are saying that the security forces and the civilians did not suffer any casualties during the operation.
