The Taliban group has lost two more senior local leaders in southern Helmand province of Afghanistan after the killing of the commander of the Red Unit of the group.
The provincial government media office in Helmand in a statement said at least nine Taliban terrorists including two senior local leaders of the group were killed during the separate operations in Musa Qala and Greshk districts.
The statement further added that five Taliban terrorists including the shadow district governor of the group Daud Ulfat were killed in an air raid on Greshk-Musa Qala highway.
The terrorists were targeted as they were travelling on the highway, the provincial government added.
According to the local officials, in a separate airstrike in Bidka area of Musala Qala, at least four Taliban insurgents including a senior leader of the group identified as Haqmal were killed.
The anti-government armed terror groups including the Taliban terrorists have not commented regarding the report so far.
