US in support of the Federal Government of Somalia continues with their offensives against Al-Shabaab terrorists for the second week in a row.
On Wednesday, Nov 15 at about 6 p.m. Somalia local time, US conducted precision air raids killing several Al-Shabaab militants in northwest of the capital, Mogadishu.
Al-Shabaab which is an official Al-Qaeda branch in Somalia is dedicated to providing a safe haven for terrorist attacks throughout the world. Al-Shabaab has publicly committed to planning and conducting attacks against the U.S. and our partners in the region especially the East Africa region.
U.S. forces will continue to use all authorized and appropriate measures to protect Americans and to disable terrorist threats in partnership with AMISOM and Somali National Security Forces (SNSF).
In these operation the allied forces will continue targeting terrorists, their training camps and safe havens throughout Somalia, the region and around the world.
