At least 500 British Muslims have undertaken an anti-terrorism training camp in a bid to identify and avoid radicalization and other extremist elements. The Muslims attended the camp to learn how to identify those in danger of being radicalized as well as those already radicalized.
The three-day ‘Al-Hidyah 2017’ conference at Keele University in Staffordshire, hosted by Minhaj-ul-Quran International, a leading moderate British Muslim organization, focused on extremists’ talk of “us and them” and the Muslims’ use of false terminology in citing the Koran.
The training camp is also backed up by lectures and workshops broadcasted o Facebook and YouTube that guide Brits both Muslims and otherwise ideological poise to identify and counter the propaganda advanced by Islamic State.
The training camp was mainly prompted by the recent terror attacks in the UK. The organization has also circulated a counter-terrorism curriculum taught in mosques across the UK which demystifies the wrong interpretation fostered by radical extremists. It is primarily targeted at the youth you are gullible and lack the necessary mastery of the Koran to differentiate between radical and moderate Islamic teachings.
