At least 10 civilians were killed when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) hot the bus they were travelling in Lower Shabelle region of Somalia.
The Thursday remote-controlled IED struck a public service vehicle after missing a speeding military convoy.
Confirming the incident, Lower Shabelle governor Nur Osman Rageh, the minibus was hit by a roadside bomb which was aimed to attack a speeding military convoy passing in the road.
Rageh added a passenger with a critical wounds was admitted to a hospital in Shalanbood.
The bus was transporting 19 passengers from Bulo-Marer and was heading to Marka, the coastal town in Lower Shabelle region.
Marka still harbours Al-Shabaab elements despite Somali and African Union forces operations in Lower Shabelle.
