CIA SOG, or operatives are in Syria helping the Syrian rebels to oust the Bashar Al-Assad regime after 17-months of a bloody up-rise.
President Obama of the US has committed the US Intelligence CIA to reach the Syrian Rebel movement in Syria and help them to dislodge the leader, Assad.
Russia has warned against such actions besides promising to stop any attempts to remove president Bashar A-Assad from power by force.
Russia has been supporting the Assad regime alongside China, sequentially vetoing UN Security Council resolutions on Syria further embarrassing the US.
Arms have been sent to the Syrian rebels through Turkey and a bloody front has been set in the second largest city, Aleppo where Assad’s military used the air-force MIG Jets and attack helicopters to destroy rebel positions.
Russia will reject the resolution by the UNSC and will continue to support Damascus.
These events have unfolded after the special UN envoy to Syria Koffi Annan resigned from the position citing pressure from the regional forces besides the impossibility of convincing the Assad regime or the rebels to enter into a peace process.
