Sunday 26/3/2017, two separate car bomb explosions rocked Somali’s capital Mogadishu targeting a civil servant and an electoral delegate.
According to Police and witnesses reports, the first blast happened near Dabka junction after a bomb hidden in a car belonging to Abdishakur Isse, a civil servant was remotely detonated.
Further reports indicate that Isse managed to escape from the car bomb unhurt.
The second bomb went off in Mogadishu’s Dharkenley district. The bomb targeted an elder said to be among the Electoral College who elected the MPs who are in the current Parliament.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the two car bombings in Mogadishu, but in the recent past weeks, Al-Shabaab has been targeting elders who participated in the recently concluded polls.
