Kenya Defence Forces fighter jets and attack helicopters continue to bombard Al-Shabaab targets in areas in central and southern Somalia
KDF warplanes Sunday 12/3/2017 shelled several locations just outside the port city of Kismayo inflicting heavy losses to Harakat al Shabaab al Mujahideen fighters.
Military reports indicate that KDF warplanes raided Al-Shabaabb targets, about 30 kilometers from Kismayo.
Kenya Army SR unit activated ground attack and was given air-support by the Kenya Air force battalion Z-9WE gunship attack helicopters.
Military Intelligence battle damage assessment (BDA) reports, since KDF mobilized its troops in the wake of Kulbiyow attack that the Somali based jihadist group has suffered heavy casualties.
