A 20-old Kenyan man was arrested trying to sneak into Somalia illegally was taken and charged at a Mandera Law court.
The man identified as Frankline Mutuma hails from Meru County and was arrested on January 21, at about 5.30 in the evening along Kenya-Somalia border.
The court was told that Mutuma was arrested by police manning the borderline while trying to cross over to Somalia through an illegal point.
The police were given 14 days to probe Mutuma and his accomplice identified as Mohamed Ismael Abdullahi.
Police charged Mr Mutuma for failing to produce Mr Abdullahi who they said was behind his illegal exit.
The state counsel told the court that Mutuma did not possess any valid travel documents that could warrant him to travel to Somalia.
He also argued that the accused was arrested at an area not gazetted as official exit or entry point.
