Latest military reports from Somalia’s semi-autonomous Puntland State indicate that its armed forces in a raid late Tuesday arrested at least 20 terror suspects.
According to the source, the anti-terror swoop was conducted following intelligence of some group regrouping in the port town of Bosaso.
The apprehended terror suspects so far have been taken to the police station for further debrief.
In recent past months, Puntland’s commercial hub Bosaso has witnessed a spate of deadly gun fire from the Islamist groups targeting security forces and other government officials.
