Wednesday, December 21, 2016: Latest military sources from Somalia indicate that Puntland forces have launched a massive operation in the coastal town of Bosasso following the murder of Puntland’s presidency director Aden Gaas reportedly killed by gunmen.
The sources further note that a dawn anti-terror sweep were launched in major parts of the seaside town in an effort to bring to justice the culprits behind the heinous murder of the director.
It is believed the two gunmen who shot and killed Aden Gaas Haruse were Al-Shabaab assassins armed with pistols outside a hotel in Bosasso city, the commercial hub of Puntland state in northeast of Somalia.
Al-Shabaab who thrive on propaganda as part of their warfare expected to claim credit of the killing.
