Turkish Air Force killed at least 11 ISIL extremists in airstrikes carried out on four dens used by ISIL in Syria’s western Aleppo city on Monday, the Turkish military announced on Tuesday.
The air raids focused on the Baratah, Dana and Zarzur areas as a part of Turkey's Operation Euphrates Shield that started in late August to clear Syria's northern fringe range of extremists, it said in a statement.
Two ISIL vehicles were additionally targeted by armed drones in the region.
Independently, Turkish Special Forces' Sgt. first Class Halit Topuz, who was injured amid a conflict in northern Syria later succumbed to injuries in Turkey's southeastern Gazitantep area Tuesday, the statement added
