Somali security forces on Wednesday held two Al-Shabaab suspects who murdered Hilowle Hafow, an elder and peace-seeker at Hawo Tako village in Wadajir district in Benadir region, Mogadishu.
According to Ahmed Abdulleh Afrah,Wadajir District Commissioner and referenced by Somali National News Agency (SONNA) report, the security forces captured the two suspected militants after a successful operation and recovered murder weapon (pistol) from them.
The two were handed over to NISA officials for further interrogation.
Al-Shabaab terrorist group often target traditional elders and scholars in Mogadishu who are against the Islamist group killing ideologies.
