Latest military intelligence report indicate that Somali National Army’s Commandos division on Friday has conducted a successful operation against Al-Shabaab militants at Anole village in lower Jubba region of southern Somalia.
Following on prior intelligence, the U.S. trained commanded swiftly raided the militant’s base from several directions.
Referencing the Somali National News Agency (SONNA) the forces killed undisclosed number of militants and recovered assortment of weapons including 2 pickups mounted with guns, AK 47 rifles, IEDs and rocket propelled grenades (RPGs).
Some militants were also captured alive.
