Three terror suspects were arrested and charged last on Friday in alleged bomb plot targeting Somalis in in the western Kansas meat-packing town of Garden City.
According to the prosecutors security forces thwarted the attack which was planned for the day after the presidential election in November.
The arrest were made possible following 8-month of FBI investigation.
Unmasking the terror suspects, Curtis Wayne Allen, 49; Patrick Eugene Stein, 47; and Gavin Wayne Wright, 49, according to the prosecutor’s report belong to a small militia group in Kansas calling itself, the Crusaders.
The complaint alleges group members chose the target based on their hatred for Muslims, people of Somali descent and immigrants – and out of a desire to inspire other militia groups.
According to the complaint, one the terror suspect identified as Patrick Eugene Stein, proposed to carry out shootings similar to the Orlando nightclub shooting against Muslim refugees in Garden City.
The complaint said that Stein discussed the explosives used in the 1995 bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City by Timothy McVeigh.
The investigating undercover team noted that the men who were arrested on Friday were at an advanced stage to wage attacks saying they even had performed surveillance in preparedness for the attack.
