Somali National Army (SNA) troops backed by AMISOM soldiers launched an offensive against Al-Shabaab terrorist in Bakool region, Somalia according to the latest Military Intelligence reports.
The joint troops raided an Al-Shabaab makeshift camp located at a small village of Busley, about 50 kilometers away from Hudur city, the regional administrative capital of Bakool.
Confirming the military raid on Al-Shabaab base, Col. Dini Kahiye, a senior Somali military officer said the joint forces managed to dislodge the terrorists from Busley, a village that has been under the control of the Al Qaeda-affiliated Al Shabaab terrorists.
Col. Kahiye also confirmed that the allied troops discovered SNA uniforms and weaponry stocked at the captured Al-Shabaab base. A number of terrorists also reportedly killed during the morning raid.
