
The assistant chief identified as Mohamed Nyaume of Kwale County reportedly aided a suspected Somali terrorist identified as Said Mwashembi to acquire a Kenya identity card.
Nyaume charged with unlawfully attempting to obtain registration of Kenyan ID card through registration form 1360; by falsely pretending that the applicant Mohamed Bakari was a Kenyan son to Said Bakari Mwashembi.
Nyaume was arraigned in court with Said Bakari Mwashembi, who was alleged to be the father to Mohamed Bakari a Somali citizen.
The two who were charged in a Mombasa court however, were released on hefy bond each after denying charges.
The case will resume on August 11.
