Egyptian government has donated military equipment to Somalia government and pledged to increase its military support in a bid to defeat terrorism and bring stability to the war-torn horn of Africa country.
Egyptian Ambassador to Somalia, Waliid Mohamed Ismael handed over the donation to the Somali Ministry of Defense, Abdukadir Sheikh Ali Diini at a ceremony held in capital city of Mogandishu.
Somalia received vehicles, weapons and military fatigues for Somalia National Army (SNA) Commandos (Danab).
Ismael also confirmed that Egypt will support Somalia by bringing humanitarian assistance to the country as soon as possible.
Apart from military support, Egypt also supports Somalia in Education, health and also makes investments in the country.
The occasion was attended by government officials and diplomats from both countries.
