A US Unmanned Surveillance Drone crashed today in Al-Shabaab controlled area in Baladul-Amin village 28 kilometers away from Wanlaweyn town in Lower Shabelle region of Somalia.
This is the second drone to crash in the same area signaling a serious system and communication failure besides possible sabotage.
The terror group Al-Shabaab retrieved the debris of the drone and took it to their camp at Awdhegle (recently attacked by Special Forces drawn from SNA-Danab and US-SF).
US have a drone station in Somalia where it operates the unmanned aerial surveillance and armed vehicles for their counter-terrorism operations against the Al-Qaeda affiliate Harakat Shabaab Mujahideen.
