Tunisia authorities have assured its populace and visitors of security during the holy month of Ramadan.
Through a statement from the country’s ministry of Interior, Tunisia security situation is stable and that the country’s security agencies are well prepared and on alert.
Tunisia authorities confirmed that the country had some rough time with the incidents of terror attacks but stringent measures are in place to ensure citizens and tourists are assured of their security during this sensitive summer period.
Terrorists across the world are known to conduct martyrdom missions during this holy month but Tunisia authorities have reiterated that their security situation as stable saying threats are normal, they are not exceptional threats.
Tunisia faces threat from Islamic State militants which have set a camp in neighbouring Libya.
The country has enjoyed relative calm and security though there was a jihadi attack in the country at Ben Guerdane, on March 7 that left innocent civilians killed.
