Africa Oil, the 50% stake holder in Kenya’s Ngamia-1 oil reserves well with Tullow Oil will drill 2700 meters on the prospective well to ascertain commercial viability of the oil find.
Ngamia-1 has one of the worlds high quality oil, and Africa Oil wants to determine the commercial potential of the oil found on March in the well.
Africa Oil, a Canadian Firm alongside Tullow Oil of United Kingdom found oil in Kenya but could not confirm the commercial viability since they only had drilled 1040meters depth.
Ngamia-1 is operated by British Tullow oil, and lies on Block-10BB in Kenya’s Lokichar Basin of the Rift Valley.
Africa Oil is happy they will be drilling their first oil well with Tullow Oil.
