South Sudan rebel leader Riek Machar finally arrives in the capital Juba on Tuesday26th April 2016 after a week long delay and demands.
Machar was later sworn as the vice-president of a unity government being formed under the ceasefire peace deal signed on August 2015.
President Kiir and Machar are expected to constitute a unity government and work together bringing a new down of ending civil turmoil that has rocked the world’s youngest nation for more than two years.
Machar arrived in Juba wearing a light-coloured shirt, greeted by ministers and diplomats as he stepped out of his plane.
After the swearing in which took place the presidential palace, Machar assumed the office of the First Vice President of South Sudan immediately.
