Police gunned down eight robbers in Nairobi’s Industrial Area on Tuesday night and recovered five homemade guns and lethal knives.
According to Makadara OCPD Nehemiah Langat the criminal gang was on a robbery mission in Mukuru slums at about 8.00 pm when police officers ambushed them.
Langat described the incident as the highest to happen in the city in the recent times.
The OCPD also described the slain criminal gang as dangerous and responsible for many robberies in the city including the recent one on Monday where one person was killed.
The Industrial Area killings come barely a week after three robbers who intended to rob a bank were shot dead in Westands Nairobi by Flying squad officers.
