Thursday 31st March 2016, a suicide bomber detonated his vest at a popular café in Gakayo town killing at least 10 people.
Nine other people were injured in the blast at the café in Galkayo, central Somalia.
Initial police report indicates the bomber detonated an explosive belt strapped in his waist wjile inside the café and among people.
Reports unfold that the blast killed among them an official with the Somali’s semi-autonomous state of Puntland.
Al-Shabaab through their military spokesman Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab said that they were targeting key officials regular at the popular café located in a normally stable Gakayo town.
