Unidentified gunmen launched deadly attack targeting a school vehicle in Somali’s capital Mogadishu.
The Wednesday attack left Turkish, Somali and Azeri nationals killed by the assailants.
In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry condemned the Mogadishu attack terming it as vicious.
The Turkish embassy is monitoring the situation and will give a comprehensive report of the number of Turkish nationals who were in the vehicle.
Initial reports from Somali police said the gunmen attacked a school minibus carrying Turkish children living in Somalia.
Later the police source added that the Somali driver and a translator were also killed in the shootout while the other Turks were injured and taken to the hospital.
Turkish embassy is expected to give out a comprehensive report on the matte to clear the air from OSINT contradicting reports different numbers of casualties.
