Latest reports indicate that militants have staged a gun and grenade attack targeting a police station in an Istanbul suburb.
Reports further say two unknown attackers believed to be females got off a vehicle and started firing shots and hurled hand grenades at the police station in the Bayrampasa district, one of Turkey’s biggest city on Thursday.
The siege is currently on with initial reports saying that the attackers are being tracked in a building they are holed up.
Police evacuation is going on to the nearby buildings in order to safely continue with security operation against the attackers
No casualty has been reported
