Saudi Arabia and Turkey share a common ideologies especially being dominantly Sunni-Islam in composition and think the only way to end the 5-year civil unrest in Syria is by ousting current President Bashar al-Assad.
Turkey recently joined the anti-IS coalition favoring ground operation on condition that they are in coordination with Saudi Arabia, Western and Gulf members.
