February 5, 2016 #BREAKING: Several al Shabaab militants were arrested in Leego area approximately 130km from Mogadishu in Somalia after a botched landmine attack targeting an AMISOM convoy was averted.
The bomb blast damaged a water tank ferrying clean water for the AMISOM troops and fortunately there were no fatalities. Following the blast, the soldiers condoned the scene in a mop-up of the area that resulted to several militants’ arrest.
Al Shabaab in the past few weeks are conducting panic-driven attacks seeing as AMISOM has increased its presence in Somalia causing panic in the al Shabaab ranks for the fear of a major SNA-AMISOM operation that is likely to catch them off-guard.
